pinky's bunkhouse and Lounge Annex
Charming 500 Sq ft. equestrian-themed modern cabin.
|
Pinky's Bunkhouse is named for Host Laurie's mother Pinky, who passed away in 2009. She was a inspirational equestrian, mentor and role model, with a zest for life and love for horses. This spacious, secluded western themed cabin has everything you need for a home away from home and is surrounded by nature. During daylight hours enjoy beautiful views of oaks, meadows and mountains, and at night, enjoy star gazing in the hot tub in this rare dark sky region of San Diego.
For groups larger than 4, we suggest renting the Lounge which is located behind Pinky's and it sleeps 2, full kitchen and bath. For retreats, reunions, larger family gatherings, we have 4 luxury glamping tents that can be set up in the surrounding meadow.
Here's an example of what your days could look like: activities may start with making a batch of waffles (fixings provided) and coffee on deck followed by leisurely exploring and hiking one of the many trails on and off property. Afternoons, do a wine tasting at one of the local family vineyards, and/or visit the pie shop in Santa Ysabel for the dessert. At sundown, hike to one of our special viewpoints and then return to cabin to make your own handcrafted pizza or BBQ. Inside the cabin, wind down and curl up in front of fireplace with a glass of wine and movie, or take a stress relieving hot tub. The living room with log mantle (created by Host Lane) fireplace has two long sofas that can convert to restful, twin size memory foam sleeping beds. This is the perfect cottage for a couples getaway or family gathering. This spot could also serve well as an event hub & organizer lodging - for a group retreat.
The modern, full kitchen is stocked with cook and serving ware. Seating can be fashioned for up to 10 adults on the landscaped lawn, or under the adjoining wild oaks. Two additional campsites are available near this bunkhouse for tents and RV campers, includes water and limited power. These additional primitive sites are only available to folks in the same group as bunkhouse - these campsites cannot be booked separately . Dog owners are always welcome! This site offers a large fenced yard adjoining the deck to welcome your fur babies, while keeping them close by.
